Ojārs Vācietis 90

On November 13, 2023, the 90th birthday of poet Ojārs Vācietis was celebrated in a close family circle at the Ojārs Vācietis Memorial Museum.
Already during my high school years, I quietly promised myself that one day I would create a monument to Ojārs Vācietis — such was his significance to me. Although I did not become a sculptor, I honored him with a painted portrait, which was gifted to the museum.
